MattPear is a Russian hookah tobacco brand manufactured in Krasnodar; the company's founder is Denis Shevchenko, who previously produced hookahs under the same name. The tobacco was first presented at the John Calliano Christmas Sale exhibition in Moscow in December 2017. According to one assessment, MattPear was the first Russian hookah tobacco made from "expanded" tobacco leaf, using Burley as the raw material.
